Can I learn English by living in a foreign country ？
The answer is "yes and no"
There are two types of English: living English and learning English.
English for everyday life is the ability to speak English in everyday situations, which most children can acquire naturally after attending an American school ～ for two （ three years in a completely English-speaking environment ）.
Learning English proficiency, on the other hand, is the English language skills required for learning subjects such as Japanese （ English ）, social studies, science, and math, which require higher-order cognition and thinking, including reading, writing, reading comprehension, logical thinking, and composition skills. Learning English skills do not come naturally from attending school. It is acquired through school lessons, support at home, and most importantly, through the efforts of the students themselves.
The key to acquiring learning English is to have the children persevere in reading from kinder to early elementary school.
At home, students should make reading a daily routine of 30 minutes. Let them "read aloud" until they are able to read smoothly. The important thing is that the child not read alone, but that the parents follow along. Parents should be involved in their child's reading as if they are practicing reading in English with the child.
