🌰How do I teach English words when I don't know what they mean ？ 🌰.

When a child becomes familiar with English print and can read two or three words in chunks, he or she will lose resistance to English and will be able to read a variety of books.
The child should be able to read English text smoothly first, so understanding the content comes later. Then you may come across unfamiliar words.
If you come across a word you don't know the meaning of, use a "thesaurus" or "synonym".
A child cannot understand the meaning of a word by looking at the definition in an "English-English dictionary.
But a thesaurus can help them find familiar words.
If your child asks you "what does it mean ？?", have him look it up in a thesaurus before teaching the Japanese translation.
Then ask, "What do you think it means ？? Most of the time, they understand the correct meaning.
The principle is to understand English in English.
