きれいな花を咲かせた〜い

悩みというほどではないのですが。
去るバレンタインデー、春の陽気に誘われて、Lily(球根)と Asian Butter Cup(種)を植木鉢に植えてみました。土は園芸店で購入したものを使いました。
それから約２週間半、毎日毎日楽しみにしているのですが、いっこうに変化がありません･･･
日当たりは充分だと思うので、時期を誤ったか、水やりが多すぎるのか少なすぎるのか、それとも種の品質がもともと悪かったのかなど、ちょっと心配になってきています。
発芽には、通常どれくらいの時間が必要なのでしょうか？
ご存知の方、アドバイスいただければ幸いです。
