お勧めのDesk top computerがありましたら、
教えて下さい。
又、日本語化にするには、今はソフトを購入しなければ
いけないと聞きましたが、、、以前は自分で出来たような
気がしますが、、どうなのでしょうか?

どこでも大差ないですよ。
単に値段で決めたらいいでしょう。
ブランド志向なら世界シェアでHPっていうのが一位。
通販でもいいならDELLとか。
日本語入力はコントロールパネルで設定すればいいだけ。
追加ソフトも日本語版のOSも要りません。
メニューなど、どうしても100%日本語表示必要ならラップトップを日本で買ってくるのが早いと思いますけど。
ただしアメリカに住んでるんだから修理や何か教えてもらう時に日本語版はいたく不便ですよ。
