歯学に詳しい方（リステリンなど）

リステリンなどの口内洗浄液って、「歯周病予防」と書いてありますが歯周病予防に本当に効くのですか? あと、日本製のデンターシステマの口内洗浄液も、「歯周病菌を殺菌」とうたっていますがどうなのでしょうか? 14年くらいセラミックを入れてる歯ぐきがやせてきたように見えます。（以前は見えなかった金属部分が見えてきました）年をとると誰でも歯茎がやせてくるのでしょうか?

基本的には口の中にはたくさん雑菌が住んでいます。
その菌どもは糖が大好きで、歯に糖がくっついていたりするとそれにくっついて強烈な酸を出し、歯を虫歯にします。
歯周病の予防は毎日のフロスです。フロスをすることによって、歯と歯茎の間に入っている食べ物のカスをかきだします。フロスをしないと、前出の菌が歯垢を作り出し、歯垢が歯石になり歯石が歯槽骨を溶かしまして、歯茎がやせていきます。→歯周病になるという流れですね。
リステリンなどは確かに口の中の雑菌を殺しますが、この雑菌たちは12時間くらいで戻ってきます。（なので1日2回とか謳っているのです。）というわけで、雑菌を殺すとかいう意味では「歯周病予防」ですがこれは一時的なものです。
私が行っている歯科医院ではマウスウォッシュはどちらかというと口臭予防と言ってました。口臭も雑菌が発生しているものですしね。
ということなので、マウスウォッシュを使う場合も、歯周病予防はフロスが基本ですので（フロスじゃないと歯と歯茎の間の食べ物のカスは取れません。）、マウスウォッシュを使うとしたら、
歯磨き→フロス→マウスウォッシュでお願いします。
マウスウォッシュなしで
フロス→歯磨き（歯磨きで雑菌を全部洗い流すイメージ）
でもOKです。
＞年をとると誰でも歯茎がやせてくるのでしょうか?
加齢によって骨はやせますが、歯石が歯槽骨を溶かして歯茎がやせていくのが一番の原因です。ということでフロスをしましょう。歯磨きとおなじくらいフロスは大事です。

詳しくありがとうございます。
フロスは隙間ができるのでは・・・といってフロスしない人もいるけど、
フロスをしたとき食べカスがすごい！！ フロスなしでは眠れません。
