#4,私ならこう書く。

Mastering a new language takes a lot of time and effort. If you’re struggling with your English, I’m telling you; there is no quick fix for this. Sometimes, you just have to give yourself time.
I’ve been in the United States for five yeas already. I know it’s long time. But, honestly, I’m not happy with my English at all. Especially, with my speaking skill. (Comparing to that, my listening comprehension is alright. I can say it’s not bad for 5 years.)

You might have heard somebody telling you that you’ll start talking in English if you stay in the US for long enough. Well, that’s not true. Your speaking skill will never improve unless you actually use it in real life situation. So, don’t waste your time; go out there and talk to people!

And, there is one more thing. Learning curve for language study varies with individuals. So, don’t be too hard on yourself even if your English doesn’t seem to improve as quick as others.

Hey! my recent TOEFL score went up a couple of points! I’m getting there, guys!
Speaking skill? Oh well, I’ll find out.

皆さんはアメリカでの留学生活始めてどのくらい？英語の上達の速さは個人差があると思うけど、みんなはどのくらい喋れます？同じくらいアメリカにいる人が自分より英語上手かったらくやしくなりますよね。ところで、TOEFL とか TOEIC、どのくらいの Score 持ってます？

横からすみません。
＃４さん、おっしゃっていることにはほぼ賛成なのですが・・・ＥＳＬとかち ゃんと受けられましたか?　Run-on & Fragment が多すぎ。しかも日本語をそのまま訳したような言いまわしが気になります。私はまだこちらに来て２年目で、たいしたこといえる立場ではないですけど、そのくらいはわかります。リスニングもスピーキングも大事だけど、ライティングもがんばってください。
