The person posting that post is mistaken about the USPS people using taxpayer money for something that is not FEDERAL EMPLOYEE, and maybe Amazon delivers to 7-11
boxes or PHYSICAL ADDRESS, and the post office PO
box will not accept it. I don't think I'd accept it in a Box. BTW, UPS/FEDEX should not deliver to USPS PO boxes either.

Come to think of it, Fedex is terrible ～. Notified that my meds from Pharmacy have been delivered. But I didn't receive them.
The picture shows it's not my front door ！ So they obviously delivered it to the wrong house.
Then I file a claim and wait.
A few days later, the case closes unilaterally, with photos to prove it was delivered ！ ！
Meanwhile, Neighbor delivers it to my front door, with a note saying it was delivered to our house by mistake.
I complained again and sent it, with a photo of my own front door. Also took a picture of the note Neighbor wrote and attached it.
I never got a reply, but it was really bad. I know the delivery person could have made a mistake at my house, but Fedex's response is terrible. It's medicine.

I entered the country from LAX this July, 20 days before my GC expired. I applied for renewal in February and brought the letter with me, but when I entered the country, I asked the officer if I could have the extension letter. When I asked the officer if I needed an extension letter, he said "No, it's not expired, so you don't need it. I was told "No, it has not expired, so you don't need it.

Worst case scenario, you can have someone send the letter to Japan. It takes about a week to get it after you apply for it.

I have no plans to return to Japan for now. If I go to Japan, I can find books in Japanese, but not in English. I can't buy a lot of chapter books for early elementary school children because they don't read the same book over and over again, and moreover, what a task ？ to bring them back to Japan and then bring them back to the US

As for the GC with no renewal, it is legal. You can check it on the Immigration website. So I have never had a problem with custom to enter from overseas including to/from Japan.

Double Kim Man, 70+, I agree with the part about the benefits of citizenship. In the US, outdoor pools offer swimming classes only during the summer months, while indoor pools offer swimming classes all year round.

Near Park La Brea is the Pan Pacific park pool, which is outdoor and does not offer classes in the fall and winter.
Then Eleanor G Roberts Aquatic Center is about 10 minutes by car and has an indoor pool with classes all year round.
