普通のペットだったら、日本でも控除できませんよね。

ただし、ドラミちゃんがプロのブリーダーとしてその猫で生計を立てているのであれば、Business Expenseとして申告できるのではないでしょうか？　でも、２００６年度中に何らかの営業実績がないと難しいと思いますよ。

でも残念ながら飼っている動物の医療費は控除の対象にはなりません。

お返事ありがとうございます。冗談で聞いているわけではないです。。。アメリカでの生活は「え？！」と驚くことの連続なので、「よもや・・・」と思い聞いてみたわけです。やっぱり無理ですよね。
「感動」さん、お優しい言葉をありがとうございます。手を尽くした結果は思わしいものではありませんでしたが、いろいろな意味で後悔はしていません。
