アメリカから日本へ郵便、日本の切手は使用可能？

海外旅行保険に加入している日本の保険会社から証券受領書を返信してくださいとのことで１６０円分の切手が貼られた返信用封筒が同封されて送られてきました。
まさか、こちらから日本へ郵便を送るのに日本の切手は使えませんよね？
でも海外への郵便事情に不慣れな人ならともかく、海外旅行保険を扱う大手の保険会社だし、私以外の海外在住の人にも同じように送ってると思うのでもしかしたら日本の切手でも送れるのかな？と思いました。
ご存知の方がいらっしゃいましたらよろしくお願いします。

バカですねえ、この保険会社（たぶん、アホな社員がやったことでしょうが）。
この場合は、普通の切手でなく、国際返信切手券 (IRC = International Reply Coupon) を
送るべきなんですよね。

で、この保険会社、こんなアホなことをやって生じる損害に対して保険をかけてるのかな？

そうですよね、普通に考えてやっぱり使えないですよね。
国際返信切手券という便利なものもあるんですね。
