海外旅行保険について

みなさんはじめまして。
年内に１年ほどＬＡに留学する予定のものです。
質問があるんですが、今海外旅行保険を探しているのですが、現地にもそういった留学生用の保険ってあるのでしょうか？現地のほうが安ければそちらで加入したいなと思いまして。。
ご存知の方いらっしゃいましたら教えていただけませんでしょうか？

もしクレジットカードお持ちでしたら、クレジットカードの海外保険に自動で入っているかもしれませんね。でも入国してから９０日までしか有効じゃないと思います。私は遠い昔の話ですが、AIGの保険に入った記憶があります。

絶対日本で入ってきたほうがいいですよ。こちらに来てからでは入りたくても日本の保険には入れません。一度日本で保険に入ってくると、こちらで延長もできます。アメリカにも安い保険はありますが、日本の保険のように薬代も全額もどってくる、眼科にも行けるというのはなかなかないですよ。現地のほうが安くても日本の海外旅行保険のほうがオススメです。
クレジットカードの保険は生命保険ではなかったでしょうか？普通に病院では使えるのでしょうか？

カードの保険はちょっと考えていました。日本で入ったほうがよさそうですね 一度探してみます！
