ノートパソコンを長期間使用しないのですが、
その間コンセントを外し、電源を切っておくべきでしょうか？

パソコン自体使い終わったら常に電源を切ることが賢明です。
また1っか月以上そのノートパソコンを使わない予定なら、
電源を切りACアダプターもコンセントから抜いておいた方が
若干電力消費の節約になります。
