Poor quality of Chinese products. Patio chairs rusted in a year, and when I put washed dishes on them, they rusted in a month. Investigative reports on Japanese TV that carbon dioxide detectors don't work at all and the makers' Chinese phones don't work. The world bought cheap Chinese products and made China rich. Trump was screaming for tariffs on Chinese products. We want reliable "goods" in our own country, even if they are expensive. If Trump had been re-elected, he would have been America first and no money would have flowed to China.

Incidentally, this is the 5th or 6th recall attempt ？ The reason for each recall motion is different, so anyone can see that it is just a ploy by the Republicans. The main reason this time seems to be to deal with the new Corona, but the dinner at the French Laundry during the lockdown surely angered the general public. Typical of the arrogance that politicians tend to have, that they are the exception. I don't think Newsom is as wonderful as Pelosi at all. But as for the corona response, it is an admirable achievement to have taken the country from such a dire situation to having the lowest infection rate in the country for a time. The current infection rate has gone up again, though, probably due to pandering to the anti-lockdown crowd with the recall issue.

Also, it is commendable that he fought so well against a self-interested dictator like Trump without being afraid of being harassed in various ways.

Yes, that would be wise. If there is another good candidate, it would be fine to replace him or her, but the other Democratic candidates are not very good. The votes are likely to be split. The reason for the recall on the official ballot sample seems to be
that they give
preferential treatment to illegal aliens over their own citizens.

That being said, it makes sense that they would climb over the fence to get to California.
