日本の銀行への送金

以前にユニオンバンクの自分の口座から日本のみずほの自分の口座に送金したのですが、みずほが受け取りを拒否して戻され手数料だけ取られたたことがあります。
どなたか低い手数料で確実に送金できる方法をご存じなら教えて頂けませんでしょうか？
毎月の保険料が落ち残高不足になるためで1000ドル程度の送金を予定しています。
ご存じの方がいらっしゃいましたらどうかよろしくお願いします。

大変遅くなりました。多くの皆様にご心配をおかけし又多くのアドバイスを頂きました。
昨日、日本の銀行から２つの保険料の２か月分の同時引き落としが確認できたのでご報告させて頂きます。つまり私は日本の保険を失わずに済んだわけであります。
送金会社との契約は日本時間11月1日みずほ着だったのですが契約後に免許書の表裏、パスポートの写真ページ、更には住所確認のため公共機関からの封筒のコピーなど要求され、更に後日免許書の表裏とパスポートの写真が読みにくいから再送しろなどと言われているうちに２か月目の保険料金の引き落とし日を過ぎてしまっていました。
ほっとしたと同時に日本の仲間には相談しても無駄と思える内容に対し、ビビナビを通してこちらの皆さんかからご指導頂けたことに心から感謝しております。
本当にありがとうございました。

transferwiseで日本のみずほ銀行の普通口座に送金したいと思いますが、受け取る側に手数料はかかるのでしょうか？

日本向けの送金は未経験ですが、100万円以下は日本側銀行の手数料はないと説明にあるようですよ。US向けの時はUS側の銀行手数料はなかったです。transferwiseの手数料は手続きのときに出てくるので明朗です。
