こんにちは。
実は友人が深夜に運転中に警察に停められて、DUI沙汰になりそうです。
弁護士をきちんとつけたほうが良いだろうかという相談を受けたのですが、経験があるかたがいたらアドバイスをお願いできますでしょうか？当方アメリカは長いのですが、どうも法律関係は疎いのです（実体験もありませんし）
１）弁護士がいたほうが良いか？
２）日系の方が良いかどうか？
３）ビザなどに影響があるか？
飲酒運転はもちろんいけないことですが、なにぶん弁護士の有無で極端に結果が変わる国ですので、ダメージは最低限におさえてあげたいと思っています。
色々と申し訳ありませんが、よろしくお願いいたします。

私が知ってる人は、日本からきてる学生さんですけど、飲酒でつかまって、罰金をはらうかＣｏｍｍｕｎｉｔｙ Ｓｅｒｖｉｃｅを2週間するかって選べたそうですよ。罰金はかない高額だったからCommunity Serviceしたみたいですけどね。
お友達もＶｉｓａ関係に問題なにまま収まるといいですね。
