近々、離婚することになりそうです。
相手が結婚前につくった借金は、離婚後わたしにも半分支払う義務が生じるのですか?

残念ながら、当然でしょうね。
結婚後、築いた財産も借金も夫婦のものです。

今度結婚する時は、旦那に借金を作らせないようにしましょう。

もしくは借金を作る前に離婚をファイルしましょう。

相手が結婚「前」につくった借金は
あなたの責任ではありません。
（結婚した時に何も署名していなければの話ですが）
なので、あなたへの支払い義務はありません。
ちなみに相手が結婚前に貯めたお金もあなたのものにはなりません。
カリフォルニアでは、財産も借金も全ては「結婚中」にできたもののみ、
折半ですよ。
