離婚…どうすればいいか分かりません

1歳の子持ち専業主婦です。主人アメリカ人です。
お互いの考え方が合わず双方合意の上で、お互いこれ以上傷つけたくない、お互いが限界にきているという理由で離婚の方向にいます。
夫婦で一番ベストな方法として私が子供をつれて日本に帰るというのが私の親のサポートが一番受けられる（本心は親の援助は受けたくありません）
ということ。と現時点ではそうなっています。ただ彼も子供は諦めるつもりはないといっているのでどうなるかは分かりませんが…
ここで果たして日本に帰るのがベストなのか？それともアメリカに残る方がいいものか。。。
まずはこれを決めないといけないのですがそれ以前に今後どういうステップが必要かが不明です。
離婚経験者の方からのアドバイスあれば是非いただきたいと思っています。
日本でもアメリカから養育費など受け取りは可能なのでしょうか？

旦那が了解しないと、離婚しても子供は日本に連れて帰れませんよ。帰ると誘拐です。たいてい同じケースの場合、奥さんがアメリカでシングルマザーとして働き子供を育て、養育費は多少出してもらい、週の何回かはご主人が子供と会って面倒を見るというパターンになりますね。こういうのはトピが荒れるので離婚弁護士に相談するのがいいですよ。
