ロスに来て3ヶ月が経ちました。
日本にいる彼氏に誕生日プレゼントに何か送りたいのですが、LAらしくて喜ばれるもの、なにかあったら教えてください。
もう一つ質問ですが、バナナリパブリック、バーニーズニューヨークの製品は日本では買えないのでしょうか？

もう既に帰国（日本に）してしまっているのですが、Drivers LicenseのExpireがまだあり、そのまま続けて更新したいのですが、やっぱりSCNが必要なのでしょうか。どなたか教えて下さい。

皆さん！！ 世界の人口が一月に６００万人も増加している事を知っていますか？ なんとこのまま行くと50〜６０年後には今の2倍位になっちゃうッスよね？ まあ、単純計算しただけだけど、、。

月額$17.25の基本のみで自宅の電話を契約したのですがフラットレートか分かりません。パッケージでないと駄目ですか？教えてください!!!

↑初めて聞きました。Taxを払っていないから大丈夫だと弁護士に聞いたはずなのですが、日本からの仕送りがあると駄目なのですか？ 日本からの仕送りがあっても月々の生活費が低所得者レベルの場合はどうなるのでしょう？ 働いていなくてTaxも払っていない限り、日本からの仕送りって収入にはならないと思うんだけど、万が一チェックされるときって何をチェックされるのでしょうか？
今後のためにも教えてください。

私が4年ほど前にライフラインに入ろうとしたら↑に書いたようなことをいわれて却下されたの。
私は学生だからもちろんアメリカで自分の収入はなかったし、親に生活費をおくってもらってたの。
まず聞かれたのが日本で親にディペンデントしてるかってこと。
そうだっていったら、駄目だといわれたよ。
ライフラインとかって安くしてもらえるぶんはタックスを払っているひとがまかなっているから、タックスも払っていない人は駄目ってことなんだろうね。
チェックをするのはＳＢＣやＶｅｒｉｚｏｎなど電話会社がするのではないのです。彼らが雇っている期間なのかはたまた政府関係なのかは知らないけどね。だから電話会社はいつそーいうチェックがおこなわれるか知らないそうですよ。

ライフラインだめだったよ 学生ですっていってもじゃー誰のおかげで生活してんのって聞かれ親が少しだけ送ってくれますっていって終了。ダメでした。どうすればいいですか？働いてるって言えばいいんでしょうか？

母国で奨学金もらってますって言ってライフラインにしてもらった留学生いますよ。（彼女は実際もらってたけど）
ずっとライフラインを使ってたらチェックに引っかかって罰金請求された人もいるので要注意ですね。

どなたか知っていたらちょっと教えて下さいますか？
実は年明け早々、今年は減税があるから100ドル位多くお給料が手元に残るね、と上司にいわれていたのですが、全く去年と同じ明細のままなので調べてもらったところ、7000ドル分お給料が支払われてからの様だとのことで、楽しみに待っていたのですが、全く変わりがありません。もう一度上司に尋ねた所、調べてみるとそれは個人に戻されるのでは無く会社の負担分が減るだけの事だったから、残念だけど個人にもどりはないみたい。と言われてしまいました。
これ本当でしょうか？別口ですが、この減税の事を少し知っている人によるとちゃんと個人に戻る、当人に戻りが無いと言うのはおかしいそうです。ですが詳しくはしらないそうなので...。
もしどなたか御存じでしたら教えてもらえますか？今のわたしの経済状態で100ドル余分に手元に残るのと残らないのではすごい差がありますので...。

こういう事はとても疎くてコメントできないのだけど、どなたか会計士の方で知り合いはいないのでしょうか？ 知っていたらここにはﾄﾋﾟを乗せないか。電話で無料で相談に載ってくれそうな会計士っていないのですか？ ほら、弁護士とかも相談だけだったら無料ってところあるじゃないですか？ いえ、なんにつけてもこういう事は専門の方に答えてもらったらいいのになぁと思ったもので。。。

上司が誤解してただけじゃないですか？減税なんか聞いたことないです。２年前の減税だったら３００ドル戻ってきましたけど。

2年前の減税は１年で200ドルわたしは戻ってきましたが今回のは別の物です。戦争前にニュースで大きく取りざたされていました（戦争によって減税が取り止めになりそうになっていたので、その件がニュースになってました）。2番さんの提案どおり、個人的に会計士さんに話してみますね。

私も詳しくはわかりませんが、今年からブッシュ大統領による大型減税がここ１０年間に渡って行われているというのは本当です。所得にたいして、何％ですとか、IRAという口座での減税など種類はいろいろあります。
私の知り合いに詳しい人がいますので、直接連絡をとって話したいようでしたら、直接メールをもらえますか？
役にたつかどうかはわからないですけど、やっぱりちょっとおかしいと私も思います。

僕の車はボロボロです。事故ってます！年式は古くないのですが、エンジンの調子もおかしいし、右側のヘッドライトがグチャグチャです。捨てるのはもったいない。かといって、お金をかけて板金やエンジンを直すのもどうかと？？

友達の古いアメ車は事故ったのでパーツ屋に持っていって＄１００もらってました。
政府の引き取りってスモッグチェックを通る程度の車でも引き取ってもらえるんですか？？

今週の土曜日はダウンタウンのMayanで毎年恒例CompetitionのProの部Finalですね。今年も去年の準優勝のBravaのNaomiさんが出場です。今年は優勝できるかな？8時からのレッスンからMayanに行って、いい席確保しようっと。
さて、来週は待ちに待った2003West Coast Salsa CongressがHollywood Parkで開催され、全世界から3000名、日本からも150名ほどのサルサラバーが参加するようです。来週の水曜日から5日間、LAがサルサで染まります。土曜日と日曜日に行く方、会場でお会いしましょうねぇ。
