I am also an ANA Mileage Club member, but long ago when I went to Japan and bought things at Lawson, I was always asked if I had a card or not. I became a Ponta member to see if there is any benefit to having a membership card. However, I only shop at Lawson once a year during my trips. I can't earn any points with this, can I? However, I receive an email called "Ponta Communication" once a week. When I tried to unsubscribe from this mail, it was not as easy as unsubscribing from promotional mail in the US. So when I used ANA for my trip to Japan this past June, I was asked if I would like to receive ANA's e-mail magazine when I purchased my ticket, and I chose not to receive the promotional e-mail from Japan because I knew I could not easily unsubscribe from it. So I did not receive that promotion. I tried again to see if I could unsubscribe from Ponta Mail as well, and this time I was able to do so, although it took some effort. I'm still trying to figure out if I want to get the ANA emails or not. The Delta one is less than once a month so I don't mind.

The number of foreign pilgrims has been increasing in the last four or five years, and I can hear the voice of the producer in this image. I could not determine from his voice what country they were from, but at 3:18 / 31:09 I saw a flag, and from the colors of the three flags, I recognized it as the Republic of Lithuania.

And the guesthouse where they stayed is called Channel Kan, which has a good reputation among foreign pilgrims. I would like to stay there at least once, but it is quite far from the pilgrimage route, and in this area, I would have to stay near Fujiidera Temple, the 11th temple, where I can visit the pilgrimage site the day before. The reason is that the next day we have to walk through the most difficult part of the 88 pilgrimage sites, called "Pilgrimage Korogashi".

In other words, it takes about 8 hours to climb up from No. 11 to No. 12 Yakeyama Temple and down to the Nabewa area where the next inn is located. In the meantime, you have to climb up to 620m and 780m peaks, then down to 400m, then up again to 750m to Yakiyama-dera Temple, and down to the village at 250m elevation. For those who have climbed mountains before, this course may seem like a piece of cake, but for those who do not usually climb high mountains, it is a very tough course, hence the names "henro ga korobu" and "henro korogashi.

So I have not yet tried the Channel Pavilion, which is an extra hour's walk.

Yesterday, I opened the Asahi Shimbun online and saw an ANA Popup-Ad with "Los Angeles to Tokyo Best Deals" and when I clicked on it, it was already logged in under my name and showed 11/06/19 LAX->HND $ 373.70 I had no intention of leaving on this date at all, but I tried to put in a date for next May, which I had already bought, but the change can only be made one day before or after 11/06, i.e., the monthly calendar does not appear.
