掃除機の選び方

掃除機の買い替えをしようと思っています。動物の毛もしっかり吸い込んでくれる強力なコンパクトな掃除機のお薦めはありませんか？
店頭などでパワーが表示されているのですがいまいちよくわかりません。
ノズルつき（日本の掃除機のような）ものは収納時にいつも頭に来るので一体型のものでお薦めありましたら教えてください！

掃除機はスウェーデン製のEureka がオススメ。日本のもの程コンパクトではありませんが、米国産より小さいです。フーバー等の方が安いのですが、２回連続、２年で壊れて以来、いつも Eureka です。私は Oxygen を使っています。丈夫で強力です。アップライトもでていますが、以前アップライトを使ったらどうもコードが邪魔になって使いづらかったのですぐに返品してしまいました。こちらはなんでも試してダメだったら返品できるのでありがたいですね。
