I know I'm biased, but is it hard being a divorced single mom ？

I don't know anyone around me, but I often hear people say that they can't get divorced because they have kids. But it's funny - I thought that if you split up and have no income, you would get all kinds of generous support from the government ？ but I thought that's not the case.

The reason is that a friend of mine from school who chose not to get married was a "single mother ・ with no income" and she was getting all kinds of support anyway.

Like food stamps or whatever. I even got a Master's in school, but I'm just a housewife.

I'm envious $ of the 6 drinks I get at Starbucks every day … and the brand name bags they buy me . I've never married and lived with my common-law husband all my life because I don't work and get all kinds of free stuff, and I have two kids.

She was upset that only her children had to be on her husband's insurance, but she is getting Medi-Cal ？ and she is getting a branded bag.

So I think I can get by with a divorce ？ but why are they so strict about it ？ does that mean no divorce ？

I think taxes are really wasted on them. When I look at my friend from school, I think of the taxes … I paid with my sweat and toil.

my common-law husband's income $ over 200K, he owns the house.
They all live in that house but they get food stamps and money to buy daily necessities (I forgot the name) so the only thing that comes out of that husband's income is luxury items.

I am a friend from the past since we are estranged from each other, but I think she could live comfortably on other people's tax money if she could just let go of her pride ？ ？

I thought that this friend has a rather generous support while people who are suffering from DV and other problems don't have any support. I think it's a good thing.
