I will be stationed in Irvine starting in January.
I live with my 4 children, ages 4 and 2.
We are currently living in Chicago and had no choice of a house but a townhouse because Chicago is very hard to shovel snow.
Do most expatriates living in Irvine live in townhouses, apartments, or single-family homes? ？
I know there are advantages and disadvantages to each, but I can't imagine what it would be like in a different climate than Chicago.
Also, any recommendations on areas?
I am looking for rent within $5500.

The other day in Los Angeles, I was driving on a one-way street with three lanes in each direction, and a police car came up behind me with its lights flashing, but I couldn't change course to the right immediately because there was a car alongside me on the right, and then the police car approached right behind me, so I thought I was being stopped, so I pulled over to the left corner and I pulled over to the left corner and stopped. Living in California, there are good things and bad things.
