I've been cooped up at home a lot to fight coronas, and my body is so tired that I've been busy going to the doctor this year.
It may be that this year coincided with a bad year for me. I took Chinese herbal medicine for severe pain in my elbow and felt good on drugs and was like high every day. That took its toll and I happened to take a blood pressure reading of 180 on my home blood pressure monitor😳 I usually only go to the doctor once every two years
I rushed to the doctor and had a blood test done (Lab work) and found that I had a freshly diabetic reading. I took some medicine and now I'm relieved to settle at a number of 6.1.
He always forgets to take his medicine, but I guess he has been improving with diet and walks. His insomnia was so bad that he even started to have a seizure.
When I relax on the couch in the evening, I feel like I am deprived of oxygen, and depression attacks with it.
The symptoms disappear after about 5 minutes, but the doctor recommends a heart test (echo and contrast) and the results are normal and reassuring.
But I am most afraid of the utz (I have never experienced this before)
Anxiety phobia attacks me when I try to sleep.

I mean, I was born/raised in Tokyo, but I don't have relatives or friends in Tokyo who will let me stay for free anymore, and I am a "cheapskate" at heart, so I don't want to pay 10,000 yen a night at a hotel.

I am also a person who can sleep anywhere as long as there is a toilet and a place to sleep. However, the last time I stayed at K's Guest House, a guy who was sleeping in a bed less than 2 meters away from me woke me up in the middle of the night with his loud snoring. So this time I will give up this guest house and stay at a capsule hotel nearby.

This topic is about travel to Japan, but here is my experience with the low-cost lodging and hotels that are being discussed here.
When I traveled alone from Japan to Korea for 3 days and 2 nights 18 years ago,
my first accommodation was what we now call Air B&B (？ I may be using the wrong term) and the guests were mostly young Japanese.
I had a bunk bed with two young girls and the atmosphere was nice, but the floor was covered with their loose hairs.
NHK TV was on, which was nice, but the room was filled with the smell of kimchi. I was so fed up with this that I decided to stay at a major hotel the next time I travel to Korea. I booked a tour and other things after reading Rurubu as an independent traveler, but the hotel was a dive. The tour was a good memory for me. I had a good time talking with a nice Japanese young man.
We went to the border of North Korea, and on the way there, I felt that I saw a dog-eat-dog hut in an instant by a sign, and I felt bad about it.
The best part was the Korean dance show in the casino hotel. I would travel there again just for that.
Maybe I can see the show in LA too (or maybe a Korean dance troupe visiting the US)
Also, the famous Chongleimun gate, which was burned down in an arson attack, was still there and I felt something powerful and indescribable
I don't feel anything when I see a castle in Japan.
