Lighthouse 5/16日号の12ページに、兵役登録についての記載がありますが、こんな制度昔からありましたっけ?
私は学生時代に登録しませんでしたが（と言うか知らなかった）、何の問題もなく市民権取れましたけど。

確か、3２才くらいになってると登録してなくても市民権申請には問題ないと思ったけど。

私は21から27まで登録してました。

私の頃は１８から 確か ２６くらいまでが徴兵制だったと 思います。
郵便局で登録してました。
結婚して子供ができると免除されていたと記憶しております。
私より年上のいとこは ベトナムに連れて行かれるのがいやで
日本に逃げていてベトナム戦争終了後に帰ってきました。
でも後で聞いた話ですが英語がそれ程話せなかったので
引っ張られる心配はしなくてもよかったようです。
当時は登録していれば皆ベトナムに行っていた時代です。
