学生ビザの延長は可能？？

studentVISAの延長、更新を経験された方いらっしゃいますか？
現在大学に通っているのですが、私の所持している学生ビザの期限内（残り一年）に卒業できそうにありません。そういった場合、一度日本へ帰ってビザの申請をし直さなくてはならないのでしょうか、それとも米国内での更新は可能なのでしょうか？
どなたか情報をお持ちの方がいらっしゃいましたら教えてください！

今まで何年間F-1ビザを所有しているのか分かりませんが、大抵の場合は大学に通っているのならビザの延長は出来ると思います。この場合は、国内での延長は出来ないはずです。以前はカナダやメキシコで延長手続きが出来たと聞きましたが、日本に帰ってする事を進めます。また以前はアメリカ国内に居る限り、ビザの延長をしなくてもI-20さえ持っていれば不法滞在になりませんでしたよ。これは国内ではビザのスタンプを押して貰えないからだそうです。実際わたしは、ビザが切れてしまっても大丈夫でした。その後日本に帰った際に大学のI-20を持ってビザの申請をしましたが何も問題ありませんでした。

You can stay long as your status doesn't change. The D/S in your passport(CBP Admission Stamp) means duration of stay meaning you can stay long as your student status don't change. The only problem is that if you leave the country with an expired visa and try to come in as a student, you may be deported because your visa is expired.
