新車の点検はディーラー、メカニック？

トヨタの新車を買ってもう２５０００マイルが過ぎました。その間ディーラーなどに持っていって点検などしてもらっていません。オイルチェンジを定期的にしているだけです。もうそろそろ点検に持っていったほうがいいと思うのですが、だいたいどれくらいのマイルになれば持って行ったほうがいいのでしょうか？あまり頻繁に点検を受けて無駄な経費を掛けたくないし、かといってもちろん点検は必要ですし。そのあたりの目安を教えていただけないでしょうか？

また点検は正規ディーラーに持っていったほうがいいのか、メカニックのガレージに持っていったほうがいいのか、その辺どうなんでしょう。素人にアドバイスください。

新車で買ったとようですから、保証内容を書いた契約書を購入時に受け取ってますよね？
契約書にはメーカーの指定する定期点検や整備をしてない車は保証対象外とはっきり書いてあります。　トヨタの車であれば補償範囲や保障期間の詳細の説明や定期点検やオイル交換のタイミングが記載されている整備手帳が付いてきている筈なので一度呼んでみられては？
