Centennial Mid-Air Collision! 5/12/2021

A small airliner with seating for over a dozen passengers and a light aircraft collided mid-air over an airport outside Denver.
It is a miracle that both pilots survived the mid-air collision without injury. The light aircraft's
parachute opened and it made a soft landing on the ground, but I wonder if modern light aircraft are always equipped
with parachutes.

Yesterday I took the Saphir Odoriko No. 5 limited express train from Shinjuku to Izukyu Shimoda for 3 hours.

As for the "cockpit door," I am reminded of the hijacking of ANA B747 Flight 61 on July 23, 1999. The captain killed by the perpetrators in this incident was a friend of mine. He was a high school student when I joined a skydiving club formed by volunteers from various universities, but for some reason he joined this club and although he was younger than me, he was my senior in the club.

I am an active aviation professional.

There is a place on the outside of the cockpit where numbers can be punched in, and if the pilot doesn't respond within a certain time, it opens.

The suicide pilot would have prevented that.
