113 is ideal, I thought 47 was a bit low, but the doc might think it's a good personal profile since you are able to exercise.

Research says anything below 60 is too low and increases the chance of heart related problems. As you get older, the muscles around your blood vessels weaken, so diastolic is lower. But I wondered if it was a good thing that Mr. Late 70s is an athletic and energetic person. By the way, did you go to Japan this year?

Yes, I went this spring. My wife and I used the JAPAN RAIL PASS

and went from Maizuru to Wakura Onsen area.

I traveled around from Wakasa Bay to Wakura Onsen area. Did you travel on the Sea of Japan side? I also traveled to Kobe, Okayama, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka with a rail pass in May, just when the restrictions on Corona were lifted. The price of the rail pass went up in the fall, so it was nice to use it before that.

I don't see many fat people living longer. Thin old people, well, they don't look good, but my impression is that they live longer as long as they are in good health. I used to eat a lot when I was young, but now I often joke that I can live without eating anything.
