We received our Tax Refund early from the state to our designated account, but not yet from Federal （ We filed on 3/20 as a married couple ） and the Status Check just says still in process.

We are both company employees （ with W2 ） and dependents （ with children ）, we have never declared huge profits or made huge donations, we are the kind of family that used to get a refund about 2 weeks after efile. . Are there any of you who have been waiting almost a month like us ？?

I have lived in an apartment under rent control for almost 10 years. I am currently paying rent on a Month-to-Month basis. Last week my landlord sold the property and he told me that I should pay the new owner from this month-to-month rent.

I am guessing here that maybe I will be signing a new contract with the new owner soon, but what will happen to the rent at this time ？ Since this is a rent-controlled property, is it max 3% up from what I was paying before or is the new Can the owner offer a totally different amount ？ I would appreciate it if someone could tell me more about this.
