Really, I can't believe it, ANA didn't have a Black Friday Sale.

My wife's flight to Japan, as I mentioned before, could be over my grandson's spring break the 3rd week of April, so I checked ANA LAX-NRT and it was the same price, $450.

Surprisingly, it was not ANA's Black Friday sale, but H.I.S.'s Black Friday sale. I had purchased air tickets before and had received sale mails, but they were often more expensive than other cheap tickets, so I had always purchased my air tickets elsewhere. The sale said that seat ＆ and meal selection was not available, but as a frequent flyer, I went to the ANA web site the next day after purchasing my ticket to select my seat and the procedure was completed. There are 4 seats in the middle and 2 seats in the aisle. There are only 2 seats in the back, but I personally don't like them because they are too close to the restroom and too far back. I think it would be better if they were a little further away from the restrooms so I could walk around during the flight. I thought the service would be better since this flight was not co-shared with United （ since United co-shared service is so poor, ） I am looking forward to it.



Does Baikinman use budget accommodations in the Ueno area ？ I grew up in Ueno, Asakusa and Mukojima and my aunt lived there. I checked again ANA LAX-NRT June 4 ～ June 24, economy seat, still high 1 ， I got $011. 450 seems far off.

By the way, I checked with JAL at the end of May, when my grandchildren's summer vacation had not started, and I tentatively decided on May 30 to June 13, and found the price of $862 for an AA share flight from LAX-NRT. I searched the same JAL last night and found a return flight that was even cheaper, and chose that one.

On the pilgrimage, I often stayed at minshuku, which gave one room per person, but when I read the forums dedicated to foreign pilgrims, they preferred to stay in tents, covered rest areas, under the eaves of roadside stations, temple wake halls, zennejuku, and guesthouses for a fee. I started to imitate them and started staying at guesthouses （, hostels ）, and capsule hotels with shared rooms and showers ・ and toilets that cost from about 2,500 yen per night in Tokyo.

Ten years ago, I took the Shinkansen Hikari to Shin-Kobe and then took a bus to JR Tokushima Station because I was using a JR Pass for a round trip to Japan. The next year, I took an express night bus from Tokyo Station to Tokushima and back, thinking that I could save one night's lodging, but I found that I could not sleep well on the bus while it was running, and it cost about 10,000 yen one way.

As I wrote before, I found out that even with airplane flights, if you buy a reservation before 75 days, it costs around 10,000 yen one way and after 1.5 hours you are traveling on the ground inside Shikoku, and it is much easier not to save than to save one night on an overnight bus. As for how to enter Shikoku from Yamaguchi Prefecture, I don't know much about that area, but I think there are two ways: either by ferry to Matsuyama Port or by bus or private car through the "Shimanami Kaido" on the Seto Inland Sea to Imabari City. Both have different characteristics, don't they? If your mother or aunt does not get seasick, you can come to Matsuyama by ferry and immediately enjoy Dogo Onsen and Matsuyama Castle. I don't know much about tourist attractions as I just walk on the pilgrimage. Well, from Kuma Kogen to the flatlands of Matsuyama City, I will walk from Joruri-ji Temple, the 46th temple, to Kokubun-ji Temple, the 60th temple, in Imabari City, for four nights. The Seto Inland Sea is really beautiful when the weather is clear on the way.
