K's House Tokyo About K's House Tokyo

I used to stay at K's House Tokyo, a guest house/hostel in Asakusa, when I visited Japan and stayed in Tokyo. In this internet age, K's House Tokyo is well known all over the world and most of the guests are foreigners. The main rooms are mixed gender with bunk beds, and until recently the rates were 3,600 yen for a 4-person room, 3,300 yen for a 6-person room, and 2,900 yen for an 8-person room.

There is a large common room and kitchen on the first floor where you can cook your own meals, but most of the guests either ate out or went to 7/11, a few 10 steps away. However, when I stayed there in 2019 before the pandemic, there were 8 people in the room and I was woken up in the middle of the night by someone snoring loudly. I think it was that guy nearby because I do it sometimes and I could still hear him after he woke me up.
I had a chance to talk to a young white woman nearby the night before and asked her where she was ？ from. She told me that she was teaching English to children in a small town near Lake Towada in Akita, and that she was going back to her parents' house in Chicago the next morning. However, when I was awakened by her snoring, her bed was already empty, and I thought she had packed her bags and left the inn, unable to sleep, even though it was still dark outside. Since that snoring, I don't feel like staying at K's House Tokyo, although it is cheap. I will try such a place next time.
