I know what you mean. When I have a problem that I can't help myself with, I go outside (porch or yard) and talk to myself quietly by myself. My neighbors will think I am chatting on the phone.
Then I will talk to my inner supporter (angel or ancestor (my grandfather, I think)). This is a good thing because it will calm my mind naturally. I also believe that there is some holy spirit in nature.
There is a mountain that I can always see from my house, and when I pass by on the freeway, I cross it
