I have a dual citizenship/nationality question. I have an emergency need to go to the U.S., but I only had a Japanese passport, so I applied for an esta as a Japanese and entered the U.S. as a Japanese. I thought it was "outside of the U.S.", but it was recently pointed out to me that the meaning was different. I will be stationed in Irvine starting in January.
I live with my 4 children, ages 4 and 2.
We are currently living in Chicago and had no choice of a house but a townhouse because Chicago is very hard to shovel snow.
Do most expatriates living in Irvine live in townhouses, apartments, or single-family homes? ？
I know there are advantages and disadvantages to each, but I can't imagine what it would be like in a different climate than Chicago.
Also, any recommendations on areas?
