Hawaiian Air to LAX ＞ TOKYO direct return TOKYO-HONOLULU connecting to LAX

You can send luggage from Honolulu to LA by UPS, USPS, or even by sea if you don't mind the time involved. You can send your luggage from Honolulu to LA.

There used to be an Osaka flight from Los Angeles via Narita, but it is no longer available, so
if you fly from Narita to Haneda and back on the Osaka flight, you will arrive back very late.

If you take flights from Narita to other Asian cities and back to Osaka, you can
arrive in Osaka in the light of day.

No, then why not just take LAX-HND home?
I could return home cheaply on JAL for those returning from overseas. I was able to go from Haneda to a local airport one way for 5000 yen.

LAX-HND was not flying at that time.
HND was domestic only, so you had to buy another ticket.
There was an Osaka flight from Los Angeles via Narita.
Osaka via Narita was cancelled when KIX was opened.
