海外永住者のJRパス利用、2017年3月で発売停止

鉄道好きな私には、とてもショックな事件です。
JRパス、来年3月で、永住者でも買えなくなりました。
せめて、2020年のオリンピックまでは、一緒に行く家族（アメリカ人）と旅行するためにも、使いたかったなぁ。
何か打つ手はないのでしょうか？
