During this trip to Japan, I paid everything that could be paid by credit card with my credit card, and as a result, I think I gained a lot due to the depreciation of the yen. For example, the following rates were charged at a deluxe capsule-like place that is a little more luxurious and spacious than a capsule hotel with a large bathroom. I have included a few of the photos I took during my visit to Shikoku in this Bibi's Machikado Photo Album. One of the JAL boarding gate agents at Kochi Airport was dressed up in a Halloween costume, so I took a picture of him. The rest include the "Tora-san Jizo" that has been talked about here, a road that rises up to allow ships to pass through, and a restaurant that juts out from a hill tens of meters high into the air by the beach.

I don't know if they still exist today, but a long time ago I was in a capsule hotel in Shinkoiwa and there were many in one section, a little wider than a coffin like a beehive, and I think there were only a few people staying that day. I was woken up several times in the middle of the night by a guest snoring loudly. I can't speak for others, but I snore sometimes, too, depending on my sleeping position. I could have been at one end of that section and not heard him snoring so much.

Recently I have been staying at a capsule hotel near Haneda Airport. The deluxe type has a mini-room with a small desk and chair next to the side doorway capsule as mentioned above, so you don't see the other guests until you step out into the aisle.

The photo below shows the standard type, but the deluxe type has the upper bunk facing the opposite way, no locker on the right side, only a desk-like board with a chair, and a curtain separating it from the passageway so that you cannot be seen from the passageway in your own space. The price for a night here is 4,500 yen. The one in the photo is 3,800 yen. Of course, a large bath is included.

I was also thinking of staying at the place in the following picture next time. The above capsule hotel is only for men, but this one has a women-only floor and the group room floor is shared by men and women. The price is 4,900 yen per night in front of Corona.

As I mentioned before, I was red flagged by My SOS and made to walk around the entire Haneda Terminal 3 building. That was totally "pointless".
