Job Description The Restaurant Lead Server at the Ise-Shima Restaurant provides and directs the orchestration of service once the guest is seated through the completion of the meal and the guest departs. The Restaurant Lead Server assists the assistant manager, Room Service, and Banquet. He/she maintains orchestrated service and reports to the assistant manager and resolves guest complaints and staff problems. Knowledge of Asian cuisine is a plus.
Compensation Hourly Starting $20.00 - Depending on Experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 Greet guests according to the Superior Unique Service Standards.
 Anticipates guests' needs and offers assistance.
 Presents additional special menu items and clarifies any questions the guest may have about the menu
 Take guests’ food and drink orders and inputs it into the POS system
 Suggest appetizers and meals to guests bases on the menu and specials
 Up sells the guest by offering appetizers, soups, salads, desserts, beverages, etc.
 Maintain a current knowledge of the food items on the menu, and be able to explain what they are, portion size, sauces, and how they are prepared.
 Maintains knowledge of liquor, beer, and wine beverages.
 Brews coffee and tea and clean when not in use
 Monitors and participates in the over-all success of the restaurant’s buffet by assisting the breakfast chef and restaurant manages in all requests in regards to food, supplies or cleanness.
 Set up service station [i.e. breads and bakery products]
 Confirm orders with the chefs and bartenders whenever a clarification is requested.
 Maintains dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude
 Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
 Delivering food and drink orders from the kitchen and the bar to guests’ rapidly and accurately along with accompaniments and condiments as needed
 Communicating food orders to chefs, paying attention to special requests and allegies
 Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils and dishes as needed
 Check in with guests and take additional orders or refills as needed.
 Handles guest complains in a professional and polite manner and work closely with restaurant management to immediately address the guests concerns and create a pleasant dining experience
 Issuing bills to the guest and accepting payments and returning change or credit card and signature slip to guests
 Clear the used dishes and utensils, and clean and sanitize the tables.
 Prepare room for dining by setting napkins, service plates and utensils.
 Assist with setting tables and rearranging tables to accommodate larger parties
 Prepares, orders and receives food requisition. Assist’s in the preparing of a operating supplies requisition and receives the order from the storeroom, when completed.
 Completes linen requisition
 Assists in counting china, glass and slivers for inventory.
 Follow all health safety and hotel rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook
 Maintain high standard of quality guest service\
 Attends daily, weekly and monthly meeting
 Display a courteous personality to guests and fellow staff
 Carries server's tools: pen, pad of paper and corkscrew.
 Assist F&B management in other matters as requested
 Handle equipment carefully and properly
 Maintain working knowledge of Hotel Safety and Evacuation Plan.
 Promotes teamwork within department and among all hotel staff
 Support and implements The Miyako Hybrid Hotel Superior Unique Guest Service Standards
 Reports to station, ready to work at the time tour of duty is schedule to begin
 Knows and understand the hotel policy that regular attendance and punctuality is expected of all employees.
