PRESS RELEASE | CONCERT SERIES RETURNS TO HERMOSA BEACH; 2024 MUSICAL LINEUP ANNOUNCED

The City announced today the musical lineup for the 2024 Hermosa Beach Concert Series. This announcement marks the official return of the City’s long-standing concert series tradition in a new format, bringing back a 25-year tradition of complimentary, beachside music that has become a staple for Hermosa residents and visitors. 

This year’s Hermosa Beach Concert Series will take place on the two Sundays following Labor Day weekend, September 8 and September 15, 2024, beginning at 3:00 p.m. each day. The concert series is open to all ages and will offer two days of free live music and community fun on the beach south of the Hermosa Beach Pier.  

The following lineup has been confirmed for the 2024 Hermosa Beach Concert Series season:

The City of Hermosa Beach originally launched its Summer Concert Series in 1998, and professional music event production companies were later brought in to manage the series from 2010 to 2019. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent challenges in securing a production company, the event was put on hold for several years. To ensure the return of these popular events and reinvigorate the City’s 25-year tradition of providing complimentary concerts on the beach, the City has relaunched the Series and now maintains direct ownership of the event coordination and scheduling. 

“We are thrilled to bring back this well-established tradition that has been a cornerstone of our community for a quarter-century,” said Hermosa Beach City Manager Suja Lowenthal. “We look forward to seeing our residents and visitors come together to celebrate music and community on our City’s incredible beaches.” 

Each day of the series will kick off with entertainment from the South Bay Music Connection. Attendees can expect an eclectic mix of genres and performances designed to appeal to a wide audience.
