WHAT'S NEW   North Torrance Little League Welcomes Shohei Ohtani to L.A. North Torrance Little League welcomed Shohei Ohtani to L.A. by creating posters, which they plan to send to the Dodgers! The young athletes celebrated one of their favorite baseball stars during their Spring tryouts by honoring him with a special game. This story will be featured in this week's episode of 'Weekends in Torrance'. Check out Torrance CitiCABLE     Torrance Civic Center Master Plan The Torrance Civic Center has remained the hub of the City since 1956. After all this time, the Civic Center is in need of either a replacement or refurbishment. The Torrance Civic Center Master Plan aims to assess various factors such as costs, building conditions, and operational issues to see what improvements can be made. Please take this survey to let us know how you would like the Civic Center to improve. TAKE THE MASTER PLAN SURVEY   California Competes Tax Credit The application window for the California Competes Tax Credit is open! There are $164 million in tax credits available. The deadline to apply is Monday, January 22 at 11:59 p.m. APPLY FOR TAX CREDITS   Community Development Department's 4th Quarterly Report The Community Development Department is excited to showcase the City’s Noise Abatement program, aiming to lessen aircraft noise in residential neighborhoods. Explore the Noise Lab, a user-friendly web portal providing insights into airfield operations and noise effects through color-changing monitors. VIEW 4TH QUARTERLY REPORT     COYOTE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM   Listen to Candid Conversations: `Coyotes in Torrance' CitiCABLE's Associate Producer/Writer Kim Edwards features the City's coyote management program in a recent episode of Candid Conversations. Peggy Orenstein, Coyote Management Program Assistant for the City's Community Services Department, talks about the latest coyote trends, dispels myths, and shares tips on coexisting with coyotes safely in our neighborhoods. Listen to this episode. To report coyote activity, please call the 24-hour Coyote Hotline at (310) 618-3898 or use the Coyote Management Portal to submit a report online.
