REGISTER FOR ALERTS Free Sandbags FREE sandbags are available for Torrance residents at the City Yard, located at 20500 Madrona Ave. Residents can pick up to 10 sandbags (subject to availability) Monday - Thursday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., and every other Friday 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. During after hours, residents may call the Torrance Fire Department at (310) 781-7042 to ensure availability and arrange for pick up at Fire Station 1, located at 1701 Crenshaw Blvd. SEE HOW WE PREPARE Disaster Preparedness It's important to be prepared for the stormy season, but what about other disasters? WATCH INTERVIEW   Deadline to Take Civic Center Master Plan Survey March 31 The Torrance Civic Center has remained the hub of the City since 1956. After all this time, the time has come to assess the Civic Center’s layout, structures, and their ability to continue to serve the public. The Torrance City Council has directed the advancement of the Torrance Civic Center Master Plan, which aims to first collect Public Feedback about the Civic Center and to assess various factors such as costs, building conditions, and operational issues to see what improvements can be made. Please take our brief survey by Sunday, March 31, 2024, to let us know how you would like the Civic Center to improve. If you have any questions, please email LandManagement@TorranceCA.Gov.
