Join us as we celebrate the legacy, message, and spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The Culver City Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department, along with the Culver City Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration and Juneteenth Celebration Advisory Committee, invite you to this community event on Saturday, January 11, 2025.

MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated by Congress as a National Day of Service. The holiday not only honors the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., but also encourages all to volunteer to improve their communities.

The event will start at 2 PM at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium, located at 4117 Overland Avenue.

King Day Celebration 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM

* Live Entertainment 
* Special Guests 
* A Day of Service (Participation Acknowledgements) 
* Video Contest
* Resource Fair
* Opportunity Drawings

Enjoy performances including Gerald C. Rivers, known as "The Voice of MLK," as he re-enacts words from the man who spearheaded the civil rights movement. The LA Drum Line and Majorettes, Crusade Christian Faith Center Choir, and Sugi Dakks will have musical performances throughout the program. Producer and comedian Francois "Frenchy" Nicolas will emcee the event. Senior Pastor Princeton Parker from the Crusade Christian Faith Center will also speak during the celebration.
