U.S. Surrogacy

The United States is one of the few countries in the world where commercial surrogacy is legal. Only three of the 50 U.S. states have laws that do not allow commercial surrogacy pregnancies, and 41 states have laws that are friendly to surrogacy pregnancies. Parents-to-be, whether male partners, female partners, single parents, or LGBTQ +, can gain legal custody of the baby. This brings more options to many families who have difficulty conceiving ・ and giving birth for a variety of reasons, including age.

MARG is committed to making surrogacy more accessible

to the intended parents. Except when a fertilized egg of the intended parents is used, a child born through surrogacy has a genetic ( biological ) relationship with the birth parents. Birth by surrogate is done in close proximity to a woman who may have a life-threatening pregnancy or whose pre-existing medical condition may be exacerbated by the pregnancy. They are also appreciated by women who have undergone a hysterectomy or who have congenital uterine incompetence but have normal ovarian function. Furthermore, those suffering from constant miscarriages can also benefit from surrogacy.

Unfortunately, the JSOG Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology is negative about surrogacy in Japan, so MARG is unable to effectively treat those who wish to use surrogacy in Japan. However, MARG is committed to providing professional knowledge about surrogacy to those who wish to use it. We also offer free consultation services to those who wish to become surrogates for various reasons.

Surrogacy
Surrogacy Process in the US

Process to Matching

  1. MARG will work with ACRC Global to provide an initial counseling session with the custodial parent.
  2. If you are interested in egg donation or embryo creation, MARG will work with ACRC Global to arrange an online consultation between the custodial parent and a physician in the United States.
  3. If you would like assistance with surrogacy, you will be required to sign an outsourcing agreement with ACRC Global and provide a passport or other photo ID to open an escrow account.
  4. Once the escrow account is opened, a deposit fee will be required.
  5. ACRC Global will assist the custodial parent in registering for a free membership on our website. Once the account has been completed, the parent/guardian can log in to our database of surrogate mothers and make their selection.
  6. Once a potential surrogate has been selected, the parent/guardian will complete the surrogate application form and profile in ACRC Global, which will be sent to the potential surrogate.
  7. After the surrogate mother reviews the profile, ACRC Global will arrange an online match between the prospective surrogate and the surrogate mother.
  8. Both parties will have 24 hours after the online matching to make a final decision. ( If either party decides not to accept the request / after making a final decision, they can continue to be matched with another surrogate mother. )

  2. Prospective fathers are required to cooperate with IVF at a clinic in Japan, undergo FDA sample preservation ( and FDA testing ) using the same process as IVF in Japan, and the embryos transferred to the United States.
  3. We recommend that prospective surrogate clients enter the U.S. two weeks in advance to prepare to pick up their baby. The paperwork will be completed within one month after the birth.
