MEASURE SST DASHBOARD Team Torrance attends ICSC Las Vegas Mayor George Chen, Councilman Asam Sheikh, and several of our Team Torrance members attended ICSC Vegas. ICSC or International Council of Shopping Centers is a global trade association committed to promoting and elevating the marketplace and spaces where people shop, dine, work, play, and gather. This trip was a major success in showcasing Torrance’s potential and attracting new opportunities for our City. We can’t wait to see the positive impact these connections will bring! Torrance Students and Government Day The City of Torrance hosted its 18th annual Students and Government Day, helping 8th graders to learn about local government. FIND AN ANTIQUE May 27 Memorial Day City Hall and all Torrance Public Libraries will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2024, in observance of Memorial Day. Street sweeping is canceled on Monday. Monday refuse and recycling will be collected on Tuesday, May 28. May 27 Names on the Wall Remembrance The Torrance Historical Society will host a Memorial Day program honoring the dedicated men and women who have given their lives in the service of their country. As part of the program, the Torrance Historical Society will read the 151 names on the Veterans Memorial Wall. The names on the Wall include war losses from World War I to those in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. The event is free and open to the public.
