FIND AN ANTIQUE May 27 Memorial Day City Hall and all Torrance Public Libraries will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2024, in observance of Memorial Day. Street sweeping is canceled on Monday. Monday refuse and recycling will be collected on Tuesday, May 28. May 27 Names on the Wall Remembrance The Torrance Historical Society will host a Memorial Day program honoring the dedicated men and women who have given their lives in the service of their country. As part of the program, the Torrance Historical Society will read the 151 names on the Veterans Memorial Wall. The names on the Wall include war losses from World War I to those in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. The event is free and open to the public.
