I teach swimming.

My son, a high school student, teaches swimming. This class is for children between the ages of 5-10 who can understand Japanese or English. He has experience teaching swimming, has been swimming competitively for 11 years, and is a lifeguard. I will support swimming at a level that suits the child, whether they are afraid of water, cannot put their face to the water, want to be able to swim as long as possible, want to practice the four events, or want to change their form. Some children who were never good in the water have been able to crawl in just a few classes, and others have grown to enjoy the water and gain confidence. Preferably you live near Torrance, have a pool on your property, or are a YMCA member willing to provide a guest pass. Instruction time is 1 hour. Basically one-on-one, but two friends are also welcome. We look forward to hearing from interested parties.
