She worked as a dentist in Japan before coming to the United States. She has taught Japanese culture and traditions to children as an exchange teacher in several schools.
She then completed an internship for an advanced implant program in 2004. Through the International Dentist Training Program, she received her Dental Surgery Degree from Loma Linda University in 2010.
