It’s the perfect time to talk with your family and community about emergency preparedness. Make sure everyone knows the evacuation zones and routes for your area, and have backup plans in case of road closures. Don't forget to sign up for Torrance Alerts to receive early warning notifications during an emergency. PLAN AHEAD Extended Access at El Retiro Library We’re excited to invite you to the launch of our Extended Access service program at the El Retiro Branch Library! Join us on Saturday, September 28th, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. With the Extended Access program, you’ll have the flexibility to visit the library beyond regular staffed hours. VIEW THE AGENDA September 11 9/11 Flag Memorial Thanks to local volunteers, the community is invited to view the special 9/11 Memorial at Seaside Heroes Park located at 22851 Anza. Ave. Flags will be placed throughout the park in honor of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Flags will be taken down on Thursday, September 12 at 7:30 a.m. Take a stroll through the park to honor and remember the 23rd anniversary of this tragic day.
