*City Fleet Continues to Go Green *

We would like to announce about our ongoing improvements to the City’s current vehicle fleet. Our City fleet currently consists of 71 vehicles, almost 30% of which are electric. The City is scheduled to add 4 electric Chevy Blazers in the near future that are currently being built. Once these new vehicles are ready for deployment, they will replace 4 gas-powered vehicles and increase the percentage of electric vehicles in our City’s fleet to 35%, further supporting our City’s commitment to sustainability by decreasing our reliance on fossil fuels.

*Civic Facilities Advisory Group*

The City is seeking statements of interest for its upcoming Civic Facilities Community Advisory Group. Civic-minded residents, community partners, and business owners are encouraged to express their interest in joining the informal Advisory Group, which will provide community input on future needs and options to address our City’s aging facilities. Interested residents, community partners, and business owners may submit their statements of interest by emailing Ann Yang in the City Manager’s Office at anny@hermosabeach.gov. The deadline is August 1, 2024.

*Civil Service Commission Vacancy *

The City Clerk is still accepting applications for the Civil Service Board Commission. Applicant must be a qualified elector of the City. The deadline for applications was extended to next Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 6:00 pm.  Applications are available on City’s website and all completed applications should be submitted to the City Clerk at cityclerk@hermosabeach.gov by the July 31st deadline.
