As part of our Ocean Protection Series [ https://www.manhattanbeach.gov/departments/environmental-sustainability/ocean-protection?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ], the Beach Cities Green Streets Project highlights a collaborative effort between Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, and the Los Angeles County Flood Control District through the Beach Cities Enhanced Watershed Management Plan. This initiative is designed to help cities meet water quality standards and protect Santa Monica Bay by incorporating innovative "green" features into local streets. Improvements such as bio-filtration, planter swales, and dry wells enhance stormwater management, contributing to a cleaner and healthier ocean for everyone.
