City of Manhattan Beach Opens Additional Seats on Boards and Commissions

Community Members Encouraged to Apply for Leadership Roles in Cultural Arts, Library, and Parks and Recreation.

The City of Manhattan Beach is inviting community members to apply for additional open seats on its Boards and Commissions, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the community's development and decision-making.

Manhattan Beach, CA – The City of Manhattan Beach is excited to announce additional openings on its Boards and Commissions, offering residents new opportunities to get involved in shaping the community’s future. These vacancies include roles on the *Cultural Arts Commission*, *Library Commission*, and *Parks and Recreation Commission*, with a variety of Member-At-Large and Student Representative positions available. 

*Open Seats:* 


* *Cultural Arts Commission*: 3 Seats (2 Member-At-Large, 1 Student Representative) 

* *Library Commission*: 3 Seats (2 Member-At-Large, 1 Student Representative) 

* *Parks and Recreation Commission*: 3 Seats (2 Member-At-Large, 1 Student Representative) 

 

To qualify for these positions, applicants must be Manhattan Beach residents and registered voters ("Student Representatives are exempt from voter registration"). 

Interested residents are encouraged to learn more about each Commission and submit an application online at www.manhattanbeach.gov/boardsandcommissions [ https://www.manhattanbeach.gov/boardsandcommissions?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ]. The application deadline is *Friday, April 11, 2025, at 4:00 PM*. 

Board and Commission interviews will be conducted during the City Council meeting on *Tuesday, April 22, 2025* (time and location to be determined), with appointments announced at a subsequent meeting.
