My name is Angel. Let me share the story of a dear friend of mine.
Around April 2023, she became very sick and was admitted to the hospital. She was bedridden, hooked up to oxygen, and unable to go to work. She had trouble breathing, couldn't stop sitting up, became very sluggish, lost about 25 kg of weight, and her hair fell out.
This left the single mother very trapped financially and emotionally. Her family is in Japan and not only is she unable to receive assistance, but her 9 year old son lives with her all the time because she herself had to flee domestic violence from her son's father.
Before she became ill, she had two jobs. As a nurse's assistant, she was in charge of corona patients in a specialized corona ward, and as a teacher's assistant, she worked in an elementary school, where patients and students adored her from morning to night at her two jobs. However, he lost both jobs at the same time and is in a precarious position.

Due to the Hague Convention, she was unable to return to Japan with her son, which combined with the death of her father during the pandemic, made it difficult for her to financially secure housing and she was given a deportation order. She has no financial concerns and urgently needs to secure a home for her to recuperate and a safe environment to raise her son. We live in the Los Angeles area
I have been supporting her in the shadows, but we need your kind-hearted help. She needs oxygen cylinders and other medical equipment, some of which is not covered by insurance, so she will have to purchase it herself. Also, she will have to live here concentrating on recuperation until she is able to resume work, which I do not know when that will be.
