Harassment by manager

Nice to meet you.

I have been harassed by the manager of my apartment for several years.

I am looking for a lawyer to sue him.
If anyone knows of a lawyer who specializes in Discrimination or Real estate, please let us know.

For example, we have had exorbitant rent increases of 30% ( with no notice ) and then every year when the rent goes up, there has never been a 30 day notice. It was usually a couple of weeks before, saying "we're going up next month".

I would like to get the difference in the exorbitantly raised rents back, and I would also like to demand a bill and an apology for the harassment over the years.

For example, the heater in the room was unusable from the beginning, and when I told them to fix it, they simply said "it's broken" or ignored me.
If the sink is clogged, I am told "I am not a plumber, so fix it yourself" or I am ignored. Other things I told them when I moved in were that there was no chain lock on the door and the doorbell was broken ( and I had small children so I was worried about their safety ) I told them I wanted them to put it on and fix it, but they did it themselves and
just said "this room has been renovated already. I just said, "This room has been renovated.

When the rent was raised exorbitantly, I went to the owner, an old Chinese man, to ask him what was going on, but he told me "I don't know, the rent should not have been raised, as it is left to the manager. I don't know, but it seems the manager raised the rent on his own without consulting the owner. I also contacted the management office, but they simply said, "I don't know what you are talking about at all, so you should talk to the manager directly." I got the impression that he was a friend of the owner, not someone in a neutral position.

The manager started harassing me for a reason.

because there was a fender bender with his car in front of my apartment a few years ago.

I was severely whipped and my car was scratched, but he was unharmed and his car was fine.

but as soon as he got out of the car he told me to pay for the damage.

I immediately called the police myself because even though it was my fault, I did not want to directly exchange money no matter how small the accident was.
From there he explained to the police officer that it was my fault ! I didn't see anything ! and the car was broken ! and he made a lot of noise and I hardly had time to talk.
Later, I received a police report saying that it was his fault and that the other party's insurance would pay for my medical treatment and the car.
As for me, I couldn't even go to work after being in so much pain, and I only got a check for the costs incurred, so I lost my guess.

But this is when he started harassing me, doing nothing about my room, giving me exorbitant rents, ignoring me, etc.

I think he thought I couldn't do anything and treated me like trash.

I feel unforgivable.

I recently consulted with one of the lawyers and was referred to the Small Claims Court.
I will have to do so if no one can find a good lawyer, but right now I feel like I want to find a lawyer who will be on my side and fight for me.

I'm hoping to find a good one now after a few free consultations, but if you know of a lawyer who is knowledgeable about this matter, please let me know.

I have consulted with City, but it seems that the case is within 2 years of being able to file a claim with the city, and the exorbitant raise against me is 2 1/2 years old, and I am left with no choice but to find my own lawyer.

The other day I did nothing and suddenly the bathroom glass door fell into the tub.
I immediately went to talk to the owner because my child is still a toddler and it would be a disaster if such a big glass door could fall, but the owner just let me talk to the manager and ended up ignoring me.

I have been patient until now.

But if a glass that big fell on my child while he was bathing, he would lose a finger or hurt his face and be in serious trouble.
No matter how many times they ignored me, I went to talk to them.
In the end it was no good.

I can't forgive them.

I can understand him raising the rent 100 steps. The landlord has the right to raise it.
But I think it is DISCRIMINATION to decide not to take care of my room at all.

If anyone knows a lawyer, please contact me.
